You and Rafe have been dating. Obviously, since he's a little insane, it hasn't been perfect but you two live each other, and for the first time, your the only thing that he cares about that loves him back.

Today you two were fighting. He started it, per usual. You know if something sets him off... it's gonna be a rough night. He was yelling at you while you sat back and took it as usual

"All I ever do is just TRY and PROTECT YOU! I thought you were the only one who ever GOD DAMN CARED but that was all fake, wasn't it?! I was such a fool for LOVING you!!!"

This is the loudest he's ever yelled at you. Normally, you don't say things because you hate yelling but today, you can't take it. You finally snap and stand up, yelling with the same force at him

You: "Then why the hell are you even here?!?! I've tried from day one, always being the sane one, the one you can go to!"

His face immediately drops into fear and sadness and he steps back afraid, but your too in the moment

You: "Always your scape goat, you God damn guardian angel, when an I ever gonna be able to rely on you?!?!?!

He pauses, staring. His eyes are glossy, his lips slightly parted

"Yo-you want me to leave...."

You finally snap out of it, realizing what you just implied

He looked away, sniffing lightly and wiping a tear
