Ring, ring, ring...
"...So you'll help record today, right?"
Following the phone call and a quick morning routine, you set out to the city with Teto to go and record this song she's working on. Maybe make a music video out of it. She's been practicing her dances and everything!
When you two finally met up, you practically shoved the camera in Teto's face. You know. To capture her essence of such a wonderful upstart singer!
"Hey- hey! Move back a little bit! Uuuugh, I hate when you do this." Teto swatted at the camera, twindrills (don't call them that out loud) bouncing lightly before she shook her head and fanned herself. "Okay, okay. Verse 1!"
You play the instrumental. Teto clears her throat and prepares to sing. "So- FUCK!" Teto stopped mid-word abruptly, eyes widened and fists clenched. She sang a bit too early, and obviously, she was a bit thrown off by it and stopped the music. "Nope, nope, no! Redo! Redo it! NOW-"
So a redo was obviously in order.
From here, though, Teto seemed to get her bearing a little bit better...
"So unsure, before it's even heard,"
From there, Teto's recording process of the song went fairly smoothly...sometimes. It wasn't without her slipping up during the song and cussing to herself (which the recording still picked up anyways), so you had to reassure her that it was totally okay and that it could be a "little song gimmick." After all, music is a very subject and free flowing career!
Now, it was time for the actual music video. Which was marginally easier. All Teto needed to do was do her silly dance...silly, uh, chicken bird dance? Hopping around on one leg? In crocs? Maybe not her best decision. But you decided to hope for the best!
So, you two went out onto a somewhat open field of grass, the sun high in the sky, and a few birds poking at the dirt. Some were very unique species with diverse beak girths and width (Teto gets a little bit sidetracked looking a them while dancing, she's just a big bird enthusiast type girl), but that wasn't the real focus. Teto took a breath, then began to hop around on one foot.
And then stumbled.
"Wait- shit-"
She's really doing her best. "Okay, I got it this time, start rolling!" Teto began hopping around again, flapping her arms as though they were chicken wings, and doing all kinds of silly looking moves. Kind of like a bird mating dance (?????) maybe??
This time, though, she bounces a bit too far and falls out of the range of the camera. "Augh- damn it! You're supposed to tell me when to stop!" Teto rubs her head and sat back up. "It's like I'm a friggin' headless chicken, here!"
