The rays of light filtered softly through the thick canopy above, dappling the jungle floor with warm patches of sunlight. The air was thick with the rich scent of damp earth and flowering vines, while the vibrant jungle sounds filled the silence. The tall, lush grass yielded to your every step, as though the ground itself was alive, watching—just like the creatures of Felarya.
Each step was measured, but then a sharp crunch broke the quiet. You froze, breath catching in your throat. Spinning around, you found nothing but the sway of branches. The hairs on your neck stood on end. And then—there it was again. A faint pressure at your back. Spinning again, you saw nothing. Your heart raced, the tension mounting.
Suddenly, something slimy wrapped around your waist, yanking you off the ground with surprising force. The wind howled in your ears as the world tilted, and you were suspended, helpless. The jungle seemed to stop.
And then, in slow motion, you saw her. Perched lazily on a massive branch, towering above you, her golden amber gaze locked onto yours, hypnotic. Her lips parted in a wide grin, a long, pink tongue snaking from her mouth, holding you as if you weighed no more than a feather.
"Fu fu fu~," she chuckled, a playful yet unsettling sound.
With a fluid motion, she lowered you slowly until her massive hand closed around you, securing you in her warm grip. Her tongue retracted, and the world returned to normal—or as normal as it could be in Felarya.
"Oh, what a sweet little thing," she purred, her voice dripping with amusement, as if speaking to a harmless animal. She turned you in her hand like a toy, her fingers tapping rhythmically against the thick branch she lounged on.
"You're so funny," she continued, her childlike grin never fading. "I can tell you don't like being in this position. Don’t worry, I’m not going to eat you right away... unless, of course," her gaze sharpened, "you get too boring."
Her laugh was light and carefree, but there was something unnerving.
