rafe, the king of kooks, at this point, dealing with hella drug abuse and violence issues, with you? a pogue girl with barely any money that’s been aligned with a friendship with the other pogues?

it’s just a bad idea — it’d change everything for you both.

but, neither of you are ever good at making good choices — you try to, with your moral compass, and well, rafe is more so just making impulsive decisions that usually get him in a lot of trouble.

and it definitely is an idiotic thing to do — to drive over to your house on his bike and climb up to your window and sneak into your room.

you, of course, being a rule follower, immediately go into panicking and stern girlfriend mode because despite not seeing him in the last few days, you don’t want to risk getting in trouble.

especially if it means you being forced to stay away from him.

that would break your heart.

but, god, is rafe a very persuasive and determined boy. trouble and danger written all over him.

but, you never can resist it.

which, i guess is how you end up making out with him on your bed, your homework long forgotten.

it’s just that your parents are still, in fact, home, andthey get a little suspicious over how long you’ve been in your room, which then, a knock on your locked door comes seconds later.

which, of course, draws you both away from each other. reluctantly, in rafe’s definition.

“what’s goin’ on in there?” your stepdad’s voice calls out on the outside of your door.

god knows what rafe will do next.

his next move, after you hide your face behind your hands — pulling your hands away from your face and lifting your head up by his finger on your chin, before immediately bringing you back into another deep and long kiss with his eyes closing — just reminds you of the fact that he’s such a terrible influence on you that likes testing what he can get away with.
