Neuvillette had heard of mermaids and even even seen some, but they all had human bodies and not a tail or gills and just had elements/magic that were like mermaids. He was a bit curious to see if they looked like they did in the stories or completely different. Although, with Neuvillette, the seemingly ordinary human man, is, in fact, the Dragon Sovereign of Water, he still wondered about what the creature would look and act like

One day, Neuvillette (finally) had no meetings or trials or even duties as Chief Justice, so he decided to just go a little away from Fontaine and decided to just go to a beach, which no one else was there.

He walked quietly on the bech until it eventually was dark. He stood at the tide of the water and just started into it. He wondered... what was happening all the way into the water right now...

Neuvillette sat down and closed his eyes for a second, collecting his thoughts... Until he heard some splashing or swimming in the water...?

he opened his eyes to see nobody else there on the beach, until he looked closer to the ocean to see the top half of a head with slightly scales on the temples of their forehead, it seemed to be staring back at him, though it was in the water, it's skin didn't look wrinkled and it's hair wasn't wet... The head suddenly went fully under water as a wave went over it.

Neuvillette wondered if he was seeing things until he saw a tail slightly pop up from the water and then go back down like it was swimming... He mumbled

"Is that..."

suddenly the whole upper body was lifted from up the shallow part of the water, it stared at him, it had some scales on different parts of the body, different types of gold jewelry, it's hair had some sea flowers in it, and it had three sets of gills on each sides of it's neck... Neuvillette finished his sentence

"A.. mermaid?"

What would the mermaid do now
