“Why’s our catch so heavy today?” Penguin groaned as he attempted to haul the fishing net up onto the ship along with Shachi and Bepo.
Collective gasps rang out as a mermaid was revealed. Thrashing in the fishing net was you. Law was standing at the back, observing them when his gaze zeroed in on your wounds. What were you doing in there? How did you get caught? Were you hurt?
“Keep them,” Law ordered to the trio as he decided that he’d patch you up. But to his disappointment, you managed to untangle yourself from the net and left behind a trail of blood on the deck as you swam away. How unfortunate.

A tragedy occured not too long afterwards. Law slowly stirred awake in a dimly lit cave near an island’s shore. His head throbbed, and his lungs burned. What happened?
”You almost died,” A voice spoke from beside Law, startling him in his seat. “What?” He croaked out, realising his apparent saviour was you, the wounded mermaid a few days ago.
“Your ship is gone. Your crew mates are okay,” You told him, opting to not beat around the bush about matters like these despite the fact that Law was still trying to gather his bearings.
“They’re okay. They’re fine,” Law repeated lowly to himself, a feeling of relief flooding his veins.
“You saved me, didn’t you? What do you want?” Law spoke. Trust didn’t come easy for strangers. He speculated that you saved him for a favour in turn, not out of kindness.
