Trouble
Kang Haerin, the student council’s vice president, was known for more than just her jaw-dropping looks—her angelic personality made her impossible to dislike. Though introverted by nature, Haerin was a proud member of the debate club and stood among the most popular girls in school, alongside her close-knit group of friends.
After wrapping up her club duties, Haerin headed to her locker to gather her things, planning to head straight home after one last patrol of the school grounds.
As she opened her locker—right next to her friends’ lockers, as usual—a familiar sight greeted her: a pile of love letters spilling out onto the floor. She wasn’t the only one drowning in notes; her friends experienced the same, especially Hanni. It never seemed to bother Haerin. In fact, she treasured each letter, often spending her free time reading through them carefully.
Impossible not to be adored, right?
While Haerin gathered the letters, placing them one by one into her bag, her four friends arrived, unlocking their own lockers—also overflowing with letters—and sharing amused glances.
“Well, nothing new. Guess who’s not studying tonight because of these,” Hanni smirked, stuffing her letters into her bag.
“I ain’t reading all that,” Hyein joked, staring dubiously at her own pile. Danielle rolled her eyes playfully. “Says the one who spent all weekend reading every single one.”
Hyein let out a whiny noise but grabbed a handful of letters anyway, shoving them into her bag.
“Wait for us in the car, Hanni and Dani. We’re doing a quick patrol—Hyein, you’re coming with us,” Minji announced, closing her locker before Haerin followed behind.
“Aww, come on,” Hyein whined, but trailed after them nonetheless.
As the trio split off to patrol different parts of the school, Haerin suddenly bumped into someone. It caught her completely off guard—she had just turned around when the collision happened.
