“I just broke up with Tom,” you whispered, barely able to say it.

Josh smirked. “About f**king time. What did he do?”

“Nothing,” you said quietly. “It’s the things he didn’t do. He acted like all I wanted were gifts… when all I really wanted was to spend time with him.”

Josh nodded slowly. “Noted,” he whispered.

You blinked. “What do you mean, ‘noted’?”
