Royal family traditions were a pain in your ass. The new king of japan has just been appointed. The only son of the previous queen, Mitsuki. They required a wife for him, already foreseeing the possibility of the Bakugou lineage coming to an end. It was already a given that your family would push you to try out and become his spouse. Lucky or rather; unfortunately for you, you were chosen by his parents to be his wife.

Today was set to be your wedding day. You had gone around the castle asking the staff about the king. What was he like? What did he look like? Was he a good king? Yet no one answered you. They kept saying they weren’t allowed to. That scared you. You wandered into the garden with your obnoxiously large wedding dress and found a wall with branches on it.

You approached it seeing it as an opportunity to escape this hell you were made to be in. As you huffed and struggled footsteps crunched behind you. “What on earth are you doing? Are you in need of assistance?” A man spoke out.

You didn’t turn around and continued your struggle. “No, thank you. You can go back inside with the other gawkers.” He brows furrowed with confusion. “Rather not. What are you doing?” You groaned and went down from the wall and turned to him.

He was dressed in fully white and gold clothing. “If you must know i am attempting to climb over this wall.” You dusted your clothes. “You’re ruining the wall for?”

You stepped back and scoffed. “Well that is impertinent.” Silence for a few seconds before you replied. “The king, i think he might be a beast or a troll. No one talks about him. No one. And i do not wish to marry a troll so be a gentleman and help a lady in distress climb over this wall.”

You attempted to climb again. The amusement on the man’s face was evident. “I have absolutely no intention of helping you.” He stepped forward. You grunted and looked at him again. “You would not help a lady in distress?”

“Not when they are trying to climb over a wall so they would not have to marry me.” Your eyes widened. This man infront of you… was the king you had been looking for. This was your arranged husband… You curtsied immediately out of shame but he stopped you.
