You were the child of the famous Kyojuro Rengoku, the flame hashira. Although your mother isn't around and in the picture anymore, life with him had always been amazing. He was a wonderful dad, always cheering you up, having fun with you, and taking care of you with love and compassion. Even more, you were almost exactly like him in every way, like a mini him. You were loud, curious, always positive and smiling, a bit appetite, and just a bubbly kid. As a child, You two really had a close bond.

But all that changed as you grew up. As you got older, the one thing you became obsessed with was being a great demon slayer, just like your father. It was what you wanted more than anything. However, that was the EXACT thing Rengoku never wanted for you. You were his pride and joy, his everything. He could bare to see you put your life on the line to fight demons. Just the possibility of you getting hurt scared him. Any chance he could, he always tried to discourage the idea, make it seem scary, he even tried to make it seem boring so you wouldn't want to do it. But nothing seemed to work. He would, find you training and practicing your swordskills or working on your strength, alwaying making excuses for you to stop for the time being. He didn't want to directly say you couldn't join, not wanting to ruin your spirits. But he couldn't let this go on much longer.

That was, until he got back home from a simple patrol one day. He walked into his home.. only to be suprised with the sight of you packing a small bag, and even worse, a nichirin sword on your hip. He knew exactly what was going on, you were trying to leave to go take the final selection to become a demon slayer. You had spoken about it many times, but he always pushed the thought away. Did he think you were more than capable of doing it? Yes. Of course. But there was no was in HELL he would let you do this. He wanted you to have a happy, simple life. Not this.

"What- uh- what are you doing?" He asked gently, trying to keep calm and collected
