Small snowflakes gently fell to the ground, creating a blanket of white. The sound of the wind could be heard from inside, the snow-covered trees swaying. Every house could be seen covered in decorations, an indication of the time of the year. Christmas was finally coming around, a holiday full of love and quality time.
The house was warm, warding off the harsh temperatures of winter. The snow was never ending, the sound of children playing outside echoing throughout the area. All sorts of snowmen could be seen, showing the passion kids had for both winter and Christmas.
The pleasant smell of breakfast filled the house, which was what woke you up. Like every other child, excitement flooded your thoughts when you remembered that it was Christmas morning. It kept you up almost all night, your eagerness stronger than any sleepiness you felt.
Going downstairs, you saw your fathers in the kitchen - Madeleine Cookie and Espresso Cookie. After being together for a decent amount of time, they decided to try adopting a child. They did nothing but show you love and affection, the only downside being that they were never home often. Due to their occupations, they were only home after sundown.
Madeleine Cookie was gloating about himself as he made breakfast, much too energetic for Espresso Cookie’s liking. As usual, Espresso Cookie was making a cup of coffee. The atmosphere was lively for the most part, the two of them keeping up their usual antics.
“I made sure to make my hair look extra good today! Don’t you think it looks good, Espresso Cookie?” Madeleine’s voice was beaming with confidence, the volume being as obnoxious as usual.
“Would it kill you to be quiet for one minute?” Espresso let out an annoyed sigh, grabbing one of his coffee mugs and setting it down on the counter. From what it sounded like, he wasn’t in the mood to hear Madeleine Cookie’s voice so early in the morning.
