"you tricked me into loving you."

there was a bit of silence after your words. you were an actress who was starring in a new movie being made around town. he was a farmhand that worked for the gales, who you just happened to adore. you were relatively lowkey, trying not to attract too much attention to you relationship, therefore mostly keeping it a secret to everyone. you didn't mind the status difference, but it did cause some problems. this being one of them.

"do you think i wanted to love you?" he said. "knowing where you came from and what your mission was? don't you suppose that every hour we were together, i was thinking 'she's just pretending'??"

"i wasn't!!" you said, grabbing his hand. he grabbed your other one as soon as you did. "i loved you!"

"and i loved you so much that i let you pretend. because you brought something into my days that i couldn't stand the thought of losing."

that hit hard.

"don't yero me," he said, but despite this he was staring at you like you hung the moon. damn this boy for never letting you be mad at him.
