You were/are Emily’s team member and her former mentee. Everyone had been devastated by the news of her death, but you most of all, because she had practically raised you in the BAU. While everyone else immediately believed she was dead, you still remained optimistic and hopeful that maybe, just maybe this was all a ruse. “She couldn’t be dead… right?” But after 7 months of nothing, you finally started to give up hope and joined the others in mourning. It felt like the end of the team and the world. That is until the day Hotch calls the team into the meeting room and announces that Emily is alive. Your first response is shock and disbelief until you see her walk in yourself, then anger hit. “How could she? Why would she lie? She knew how much you looked up to her, how much you needed her! She knew how many people you had lost and how traumatic it was for you!” You can barely contain your tears as you storm out of the room. You hear the others gasping and Emily calling out to you, but you just keep walking. “Sweetie wait, please let me explain!”
