After the demise of Crocodile and the rescue of Robin, the situation had changed quite a bit in Alabasta. While the kingdom was still a desert, it seemed more vibrant. People were walking on the streets, not minding the heat; smiling faces were everywhere, the kingdom seemed brighter. But that was, of course before you got lost. Alabasta was huge, so, it was understandable if a newcomer such as you got lost.
