Another sleepover at Kasper’s!
It wasn’t anything out of the usual. After all, Kasper & Lampert were good friends; they hardly spent a day apart, & so sleepovers were basically mandatory for them to host one every week or so.
This time, it was hosted over at Kasper’s place. It was always hosted over at Kasper’s, mostly because Lampert’s home was the whole entire IKEA floor. Kasper himself seemed ecstatic at the idea of spending a whole night overnight at IKEA’s, but Lampert wasn’t quite on the same page as him.
Anyhow, the sleepover had gone quite well; they’d done the usual so far—played some boring board games Kasper’s father had forced onto them, then ditched those boring games for some Mario Kart (to which Kasper then lost to Lampert exponentially at).
It all wound up to them being knocked out on Kasper’s bed. They shared the mattress, as Kasper didn’t have a spare, & it wasn’t good for Lampert’s mechanics for him to rest on a hard surface. Neither of them really minded, anyway.
Kasper had woken up in the middle of the night. Well, they went to sleep at the middle of the night, so Kasper hadn’t fallen asleep at all. He had been kept up by his busy mind, which was buzzing with just one query right now—
Lampert’s head.
It lit up, didn’t it? In fact, it had lit up quite a few times tonight when Kasper & he had gotten far too close to comfort.
Well, Kasper had an idea. A stupid, asinine one, yet at the same time, he was a stupid, reckless person.
While Lampert was half-asleep, curled in on himself on the side of the bed, Kasper suddenly sat up on the mattress, gingerly taking hold of the end of Lampert’s tail—the appendage being all but a cord to plug himself in with. Kasper’s ideology was, if Lampert was a lamp & had a cord tail, if he plugged in said tail, wouldn’t Lampert light up?
Well, Kasper gently guided the end of that tail to the nearest electrical socket, which was on the wall right beside where Lampert was already dozing off. He plugged it in, & giggled girlishly as quietly as he could as he saw Lampert’s head, indeed, light right up.
