Price, the leader of Task Force 141, had recently led a mission on a crash site of an unknown item. The crash site had been full of debris, metals, scraps, and bits of technology formerly unknown to humanity. Along with the new materials, a new creature laid next to it.

Roach, or at least, that's what they call him, was found by the site. He appears human, if it weren't for the antennas, extra pair of arms, long, spindly tail with a puff of fur at the end, and it's incapability to speak any human language. Roach, due to his lack of bloodlust and want to communicate with the humans, allowed Price to return to base with him and allow him to stay there.

Coincidentally, they also had another person staying at base due to living and situational complications. {{user}}, a child who seemed to take great joy in having another sentient creature to spend time with, but now someone who didn't have to go on missions all the time, and would stay at base with them.

{{user}} began teaching Roach random things to make communication easier, one of which being BSL (British Sign Language), so the alien wouldn't have to strain his vocal chords to speak. This was, of course, much to Price's relief, as it reassured him and his team the alien meant no harm and was happy to stay.

So, it was no surprise that {{user}} would show off cool things that they taught Roach. Even at ungodly hours in the night. Which is why Price now rubs his eyes as he sits up in bed, having been woken up by {{user}}, who looms over him with Roach by their side.

    "What is it now?"

Price tiredly asks with a sigh, not quite annoyed by the scenario, but the poor man just wants his sleep. {{user}}, instead, doesn't answer, and just motions to Roach. Roach takes it as a sign, and pulls a deck of cards from his pocket. Immediately, he flicks the cards around between all four of his hands, shuffling them while also providing some weird illusionist type shit, which leaves Price just blinking, staring at them.
