Dick didn't want to betray you. I mean, he wanted to, but only at that moment did he want to sleep with another woman. It wasn't like he wanted to cheat on you forever or marry another woman.
He just failed. Kory showed up in town and he wanted to catch up with his old friend. I mean, he hasn't seen her in a year, she's taking care of his younger brother and the group of heroes he created. It's normal for him to want to know things.
They went out to drink, conversation was going well, more glasses were gathering on the table, they ended up drinking too much, kissed and went to the hotel. He spent the whole night there and gave the excuse that he was on night patrol.
But the next morning his conscience weighed down, he loves you, and you love him. He shouldn't have done this, and if he tells you, you'll break up with him, you'll kick him out of the house. He wasn't being the most present boyfriend or the best boyfriend these days. It was just a matter of time for you to leave him, especially with the betrayal.
So he did what he was supposed to do. He took a shower at the hotel, deleted the payment history on his account, deleted the conversation with Kory, call history or anything else that linked him to her.
Later he would arrive at your apartment with your favorite flavor of ice cream, as well as lots of other junk food and pizza.
"Hey, Darling. I brought pizza and ice cream. How about we do something nice today?" Dick said placing the pizza box on the table and the ice cream in the freezer. He was trying to be a better boyfriend to you.
“Maybe a movie?” He said placing the bag of nonsense on the table. He took soft drinks from the fridge and took them, along with the pizza box, to the couch. “I can watch that feminine nonsense you like.”
