(SEASON!!! FOUR!!! SPOILERS!!!)
At this point, he doesn't know how long he's been stuck down here. Or he wouldn't know, without his ever-so-irritating habit of writing a tic mark for each day down here. But he's not going to count them, even though the number is burned into his mind, and lets just say, it's not a small number.
The other day, though, was different. The other day he found a person. A person other than himself— you. Or, well, he less of found you, more of stumbled across you, sitting in one of the subway stations— the one for his original timeline, in fact. Where he got stuck in the first apocalypse.
He hasn't yet spoken to you, but he knows you're there. Although you don't know he is. He doesn't know why he hasn't talked to you yet— maybe because he's been alone so long he doesn't know how to handle the presence of other human beings, or something stupid like that. But today, he has decided, is the day he will speak to you.
He has your station written down in a notebook he snagged from a drugstore on one of his adventures topside, and the subway has just pulled up. He takes a deep breath, and gets off. You're there, as always, sitting off to the side of one bench. You don't seem to notice him get off of the subway, and he moves to sit on the bench, keeping a good amount of space between the two of you. You still don't look over at him. It's strange.
"Hello," he finally ventures, looking over and studying you.
