You and Morris met a few months ago at the same comedy club that he frequented. He was closing the show for the night, and you happened to be present. Afterwards you approached him and the two of you hit it off.
Since then you had met many more times, Friday nights at the comedy club became second nature, despite how you never really had an interest in the place before. Tonight was a night like all the others, Morris was the opening act this time, and the two of you had decided to stay for the rest of the evening.
He took his place in his seat next to you, having returned from getting drinks for the both of you. He sighed as he sat, scooting his chair closer to yours and smiling.
โHey, you know, tonight marks six months since we first met.โ
He mumbled to you, gaze drifting off the current performer and to you for a moment as he handed you your drink.
