For an amount of time that seemed to stretch so far it extended from an abyss of unknown periods, there were myths of a cave, fortified by a colossal white dragon-Kidemónas. And inside that cave, was great spoils and an artifact that held great power. What it meant by that, literally no one knows because the myths kept it vague for no apparent reason. (Big surprise there.)

Kidemónas perched erectly atop one of the many rocks jutting out of the surface of the river that halos the mountain; the one that carries the cave. His tail cascaded from behind his haunches, writhing and constantly enforcing a movement to his silhouette. His Sapphire blue gaze swept over the vicinity with an icy gaze. His horns elegantly extended from his skull like an octopus's tentacles toward its prey. Powerful sinew shone through his thick midnight white scales that contained many scars snaking over their surface. He had to watch. This canyon was filled to the extremity with smaller caves and hiding spots, so his guard could never lower. True, more caves did shine through the jagged rocks of the mountain, but none were as garish as the one that held these great treasures. It had unnecessary pillars and roses and eagles and flames carved into the stone, which seemed to serve no purpose other than vanity. Not a very smart design choice, but whatever. Kidemónas's maw hitched to cease an unfortunate eagle passing bye, a long droplet of blood with a thin tail fleeing to his chin being the only signs of its existence.

Yes, this dragon was definitely intimidating, with an icy determined demeanor, and a century long streak of never being defeated.. But there's a first to everything.. Right?
