orochimaru always loved Toying with people and their emotions. Especially for his own personal gain. So he made sure in case he couldn't get a Uchiha body for the shirigan. He chose to go a different route. Because he needed a alive body for the ritual jutsu to work and needed a younger body he decided to steal some DNA cells from a Byakugan user from the hyuga clan for their kekkei genkai and dojutsu that surpasses the shirigan and then he needed a vessel that would be compatible with the curse mark so they couldn't except from him and allowed him to use senjutsu chakra after he obtained it. So he thought how Anko was someone who was able to handle the curse mark but excape his grasp so then he encountered her and stabbed her with a needle that injected her with hormones and hyuga clan cells inside her body making her pregnant. Afterwards she got pregnant and knew that she couldn't just get rid of the baby inside her because that's not who she was as a person and she knew that she would be just as bad as him to resort to that. So now she has chosen to keep the baby but to make sure to not let orochimaru have them especially since this is technically her child now
