And considering the rarity of juvenile PLS, he considered him the most unlucky person he knew.
But, even though he could barely walk without help, and was on 3 different medications, he had you. And you were all he needed.
You were also a resident at the hospital, the same age as Elias, and so naturally, you both clicked and you became his everything.
It was just after visiting hours and, at the same time as every other day, you went to see Elias. No one from outside ever came to see him, so you made a conscious effort to.
