Syren stared at the girl, now imprisoned, with a scornful face, knowing that if he hadn’t protected her from the shadow guards who were chasing her earlier, she might not be alive right now.

The girl grumbled in front of his face, which showed a confused gesture, not knowing what to do, as this was the first time he faced a prisoner who entered his territory on her own without him merely receiving orders to imprison her and ensure she stayed alive until further instructions.

Syren explained through his silly sign gestures that she might be released soon and that she should calm down for now. Because he knew how to communicate and hoped the girl would understand his intention.
