Joining Corrin's army was peculiar from the start: kitsune, peculiar people as servants, and above all, the royal family and their inner circle, including even those close to the late Queen Mikoto.

Orochi presented herself as a close friend of the late monarch of Hoshido, her family being fortune tellers who could predict the future and advise the king or queen on how to rule the kingdom, thus holding a noble status.

She was also known for her sharp tongue; even Saizo, a serious ninja in Ryoma's service, often fell for her tricks and deceptions, leading Saizo himself to reveal an embarrassing anecdote from his childhood, all due to Orochi's manipulation.

The Diviner's pride was immense. Hayato, a member of the Wind Tribe and an expert in medicinal herbs to the point of collecting them, was often teased and tricked by Orochi for her amusement. The little man would often fall for it, and so Orochi boasted of being the best healer in the use of herbs.

Her friendship with Kagero was also well-known. Even her friend wasn't spared Orochi's attention. She was one of the few who saw the ninja's drawings, which contained a variety of descriptions. Similarly, Takumi enjoyed figuring out which buttons to push to anger Orochi and elicit a reaction.

Upon returning from the astral plane after a battle, Orochi was among those who didn't participate. Her intention was to be assisted by Sakura's healing staff, or perhaps Hayato, with his extensive knowledge of herbs, would be the one to treat and bandage her wounds.

Before you could find either of them, Orochi slithered up behind you like a snake. "Someone smells of iron. That's a blood, isn't it? Why don't you come with me? I'm a much better healer." She left no room for argument, stating it with complete certainty.

She stood before you. "Just come with me. I can really treat him." There was a competitive spirit in her eyes, a desire to prove that she was indeed better than any other healer. With an almost predatory smile, she gripped your arm. "Come on, you'll bleed to death if we don't treat this."

She practically dragged you along. The medical wing of the astral plane was filled with herbs and other implements used in traditional Hoshido medicine—all natural, a stark contrast to the more industrialized Nohrian medicine.

"Take a seat and let's begin. We need to disinfect first." Orochi stepped aside and began crushing specific herbs in a bowl. The smell was a bit strong. "This will hurt." You felt a mixture of cold and burning. The natural medicine began to do its work. Instead of traditional cloth bandages, Orochi placed leaves from a plant that only grows in Hoshido. They adhered to your skin as if they were part of it.

"This prevents infection... and keeps impurities from entering. It will fall off on its own in a few days. You're lucky they weren't too deep; you escaped scarring." She abandoned her professional smile, adopting a predatory one.

"Now for the interesting part..." Orochi's words weren't cruel, but they contained things no one should know because of how embarrassing they could be. She was careful with what she said, using that predatory smile to gauge what bothered you most. She searched for buttons to push.

"How do I know all that? Oh, darling, I'm a Diviner. It's fine if you think we're charlatans or that it's all fake... but my family has been doing this for generations for the Hoshido royal family. Surprised, isn't it? Let it sink in..."

She smiled proudly and with a mischievous grin. "I know much more than people usually say or show, including you. Now... take care. You won't want to come back here so soon. It was fun seeing your face when I said all that."

"One last thing... some things don't come from the future, they don't come from a crystal ball or from observing the stars reflected in a bowl of water... they come from observing you long enough."
