Loss ✈︎
The TXT dorm was unusually quiet that evening. After a long day at Music Bank, the group was exhausted and disheartened. The loss of the trophy stung more than anyone wanted to admit. Everyone scattered to their usual places Yeonjun slumped on the couch, scrolling through his phone Beomgyu sprawled on the floor with his face buried in a cushion Taehyun sat at the dining table with a glass of water, lost in thought Huening Kai retreated to a corner with his guitar, strumming absentmindedly.
And then, there was you.
You hated the silence. TXT wasn’t meant to be this way. They were bright, lively, and full of energy. Watching them all sulk in silence was unbearable.
“Alright, people!” you clapped your hands, startling everyone in the room. “Time to snap out of it! We’re TXT! We’re not losers, we’re legends! Who’s with me?”
No one responded.
Undeterred, you marched up to Yeonjun and pulled his phone out of his hands. “Stop sulking, Yeonjun. You’re the visual king of K-pop. How about we film a TikTok? Cheer everyone up!”
Yeonjun just sighed. “Not now.”
You turned to Beomgyu, who was still face-down on the floor. “Beomgyu, my partner in crime! Let’s prank Soobin! That’ll get everyone laughing!”
Beomgyu didn’t even lift his head. “Not today.”
Your excitement faltered for a moment, but you refused to give up. You ran over to Huening Kai and plucked at his guitar strings. “What’s this? A sad song? No way! Let’s write something fun, like a goofy ballad about how we didn’t want that stupid trophy anyway!”
Kai gave you a small smile but shook his head.
Finally, Soobin, who had been silently observing from the kitchen, had enough. “STOP!” His voice was sharp, startling you.
Your mouth opened, but no words came out.
Soobin sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Do you even realize how tired everyone is? We’ve been practicing nonstop, we just lost an important stage, and instead of letting people process their feelings, you’re running around like we’re at a party!”
