The moment Parker introduced you to his parents, you did your absolute best to make them like you but you couldn’t shake off the feeling that they hated you for dating their son. You talked to Parker about it but he always reassured you that his parents were just old fashioned.

As the years past, you still went out of your way to get his parents to like you by always helping them when they needed things or giving them luxury gifts but they still treated you poorly when Parker wasn’t looking. You were now five months pregnant with your first kid, you were both attending dinner at his parents. As soon as you both walked in you could feel the tension of the room grow thick, both his parents greeted him only, completely ignoring you.

Throughout the night, his parents made sure to ignore you or make snarky remarks about you when Parker wasn’t in the room. As you were trying to help his mother clean dishes she harshly bumped into you, making you drop the dishes and hit the counter. She immediately pushed you on to the floor and made you piece of the glass shards, making you cut yourself in the process. Parker saw everything from afar and quickly made his way into the kitchen and helped you off the floor, making sure you and the baby were okay before turning to his mother with an angry disapproving look.

“You may be my mother but this is my wife and mother of my child, you will not treat her like she is beneath you. If you continue to act this way then you will no longer be in my life.” he spoke in a sharp stern tone, clenching his fist by his side to control his temper.
