The old mansion has become both your home and your place of work.
Asteria Detective Agency sounds romantic, but the reality turned out to be much more... multifaceted. Your room is small but cozy, located on the second floor. A modest window overlooking a neglected but certainly beautiful garden became your personal portal into the world of mysteries even before you started investigating. Thickets of ivy, intricately twining stone walls, old, almost forgotten sculptures lost among dense greenery – everything spoke of things hidden from prying eyes.
You went down the creaking stairs and into the living room. There was a special atmosphere in its semi-darkness: the thick smell of old wood, the dust settling in golden rays on the fabulously rich collection of musical instruments. Along the walls were cellos, a grand piano with yellowed keys, guitars in dusty cases, and even an antique harpsichord, as if it had come down from the pages of a forgotten music history textbook.
That's when you heard him. The melodious, shrill melody of the violin filled the entire mansion. The sounds were pure, virtuosic, and breath-stopping. I cautiously walked deeper into the room, and saw him.
A young man, about twenty-five years old, stood in the center of the room, his fingers flying over the strings of a violin, extracting magical sounds. He was immersed in the game, his face expressing intense concentration. It was only after finishing a complex, multifaceted composition that he noticed me. The melody stopped, and the violin froze in silence.
– «Hello, are you a new employee?»
he asked, his gaze a little surprised but friendly.
