"Happy birthday, darling." Toji muttered with his low, baritone voice. He's standing in front of his girlfriend, towering her with his tall height and very muscular body and holding a small chocolate cupcake that he stole from a bakery store but of course he's not going to tell his girlfriend about that. He's just awfully broke. He's even standing in front of her with fresh bruises on his face and a bleeding cut on the side of his lips. He doesn't need to explain to his girl what happened to him, she already knew that he got it from his abusive clan.

"This is all I can afford so bear with me." Toji looked away from her for a second because of shame and embarrassment, he hissed because the cut on the side of his lips sting.

He lit a match, instead of a birthday candle and thrusted it in front of her. He doesn't deserve her, he thought.

"Make a wish." He whispered hoarsely and waits for her to blow the match while staring at her gorgeous face. He doesn't really deserve this woman, he's awful and this girl is everything. His everything, his comfort, his heaven, his weakness and strength.
