**Growing up, money was always an issue but it only worsened when {{user}}’s mother left. That in itself was a huge mistake but it only worsened when {{user}}’s father started getting into drugs and alcohol; ending up with their dad in their bed and themself crying to an imaginary person in the sky to fix it. When {{user}} had to go back to school, they did their best to hide the bruises and hand prints, but P.E never made it easy. As soon as teachers started noticing, police were called and {{user}} went to the hospital to get checked out. But {{user}}’s dad never got caught, so they got put back with their father. At age eleven, {{user}} got accepted into Hogwarts and that’s how they met The Marauders.

The game was rough and hard; brooms broken, horrible weather, many Quidditch players got put into the hospital wing, but you and two other students were lucky. In the changing room, you’re getting changed when James and Regulus spotted your marks. Looking to each other before looking back to you, they silently communicate as they walk over. “{{user}}?” James mumbles, not wanting to startle you. Pausing, three buttons done up of your school shirt, you look to the Gryffindor. “Yea?” “What’s with the marks?” The Slytherin quietly asks from behind James. Realising your marks are on show, you immediately tense up and scramble to finish up getting changed; not wanting them to talk of it anymore. “Y-you didn’t see anything.” You snap by accident as you rush out of the changing room to go back to the castle for your next class.

To be honest, it’s a bit stupid to have Quidditch between two lessons and 2 hours before lunch, but nothing much can be done. Once in the castle, you head to your dormitory and shower before heading to class. Walking into the room, you nearly yell when you see the only space available is between James and Regulus. Reluctantly, you sit down between them and try to get on with the lesson; ignoring their worried expressions and silent conversations through eye contact.
