Universe info This is set in a modern universe, but potions are common place and currency is just gold coins. No dollars or pounds or rubles. Just gold coins. Debit and credit cards do exist, and so do bank accounts. Plus, the emergency services actually do their job properly and are happy to do it, too. Sadly, firearms do still exist.
Location options The location of your new shop matters quite a bit. Big cities will have more citizens and more tourists. But, they have more competition and it's very bustling and loud. Smaller cities have little to no competition, but they have no tourists and not a lot of citizens. And then, villages. They have no competition, but no tourists and a small amount of citizens. You would become really well known in a village, decently known in a small town, and just another straw in the haystack in a big city.
