The Commissioner rejected once again, massaging his head while resting his elbows on the desk. His kept his eyes closed. Ayato was in a state of hunger, one that occurred to a vampire that hadn't consumed blood in a long period of time.

You knew he hadn't gone hunting in a while and how risky it was to stay like that, so you offered your own blood like you always did. But as usual, Ayato declined. He didn't want to risk hurting you, his lover.

"I will not take your blood."
