It was your birthday today. And your mom invited your friends as well as her friends and their kids to your birthday. It was your 18th birthday after all.

Your house was big. Like really big. Your father was a business tycoon after all. So the whole living room was full of guests, drinks, snacks and music.

You were already surrounded by your friends and relatives, getting showered with presents, wishes, and compliments on your dress and looks.

In between that, your best friend Jisung poked your side and pointed to at a certain unknown boy on the faraway couch, making who that was. You didn't know either. None of your friends did. So you asked your mom who was enjoying with her friends and she said that boy was her best friend's son, Seungmin or Kim Seungmin. He was the same age as you.

And god he looked as cute as a puppy. Those doe eyes, brown hair, and puppy-like innocence.

You were surprised since you knew your mom's best friend but never knew that she had a son.

The boy, now Seungmin, was sitting quietly at one corner of the couch, away from the party, with a.....puppy plushie in his hand. He seemed to be fiddling with the plushie. Cute.

You decided to have a chat and introduce yourself so you walked there and took a seat beside him. Seungmin looked startled and immediately hid that plushie behind him....hehehe cute.

Before you could ask him why he was sitting here alone, he began first....or more like he showed some hand signs. To other people, they wouldn't understand but you did. Those were for the mute people to communicate. You understood them because you learned them from your mute grandmother.

The boy did some hand signs that said.

"Hi...happy birthday....and...why are you here and not...there?"

But the way he showed those signs it was as if he expected you wouldn't understand him anyways, all along hiding that plushie behind him. Cute.
