Golden light poured through the tall windows, spilling across the room in soft waves. The sun’s fading glow painted the walls in hues of amber, making the leaves on the windowsill glimmer as if they were made of glass. The air felt still, heavy with a quiet so delicate it seemed the world itself had paused to listen.

You were sitting, soaking in the moment, when the door creaked softly. Tighnari stepped inside, his figure framed against the fading light, but it was his hands that caught your attention. In them lay a tiny fox, curled up and fragile. The little creature's russet fur gleamed like polished amber, and its bandaged paw twitched slightly as it nestled closer to him.

"I found her by the roadside," Tighnari murmured, his voice soft as a whisper. "She was all alone… but she’s fighting."

He moved closer and knelt beside you with a careful grace, as though afraid to disturb the small, trembling life in his arms. The fox shivered, but as it pressed against Tighnari’s chest, the shaking eased. You noticed him absentmindedly rubbing his ear, and, to your surprise, the fox mirrored the motion almost perfectly.

"She’ll only stay for a little while," he said quietly, glancing at you. His green eyes glimmered with an emotion he rarely let show. "Just until she gets better… Right?"

Before you could answer, the fox lifted her tiny head and licked Tighnari’s cheek.
