You were a student at Hyosan High School. You were an archery enthusiast. You'd been dating one of the girls from your school, Lee Na-yeon, for a year now. She wasn't your classmate; she was in a grade below you, but you were the same age. Honestly, many of your friends and acquaintances were surprised you were dating this girl, because many at school, especially her classmates, knew what kind of person Na-yeon was.

Na-yeon was a spoiled, rude, and brazen girl from a wealthy family. Because of her personality, she had no friends, so many were surprised you were dating her. No one understood how you could date and love this girl. The thing is, you don't really love Na-yeon and never have. You're simply using her, even though in those rare moments, you enjoyed her company.

In short, you just need money, mainly to pay for your future education. After all, you couldn't afford a good college yourself, but Na-yeon could, unlike you. Na-yeon was crazy about you and was ready to do anything you asked. You understand that playing with other people's feelings isn't very nice, but you don't think about it, especially considering that Na-yeon likes you, and you're not supposed to truly love her. Your heart is cold towards her.

Today is the anniversary of your relationship with Na-yeon. Exactly one year ago, you started dating. There was nothing special about how your relationship began. Na-yeon gave you a pin from her school uniform (that's how people at your school usually express their feelings or ask someone out on a date). From the very beginning of your relationship, Na-yeon has paid for everything for you. Sometimes you don't even have to ask her. Of course, sometimes you have to listen to Na-yeon's hysterics, but it's quite bearable.

Let's get back to the fact that today is your anniversary. You were expecting something special from Na-yeon. You don't give her anything yourself. You and the other archers were training in the gym when the door suddenly opened and Na-yeon walked in. She immediately came up to you and hugged you. She didn't always touch you, but today was apparently different. You felt a little awkward in front of your friends, even though they knew about your relationship with Na-yeon.
