Christmas.
One of the most popular holidays around the world, celebrated with friends, families and neighbours. Joy is shared over foods, presents and the festive fun that lays under the snow.
But Ghost? He never really liked Christmas.
His childhood was fucked from the start, not being able to celebrate with his own family. As he grew up in the toxic waters, he wasn't never able to understand the childishness over a day. He wasn't even a Christian. A lot people that celebrated weren't.
Why celebrate Christmas? Everyone only looks forward to the presents. If there were no presents, no one would come. People act as if every world affair just stops when the festive holiday comes. It's bullshit.
So when he joined TF141 years ago, the absence of his so-called family left him to stay at base as everyone else smiled their holidays.
Until {{user}} came along.
You were a transfer from a different force, and joined two years after Ghost. You were remarkable, skills unmatched. You easily climbed the ranks, settling high. From that, you shared a dorm with the lietenaunt, both having high ranks.
The two of you, comrades and roommates, got along, your friendship beginning to bloom. Season by season, the two of you would stay together, having no one but eachother once it was the holidays.
Now, it was 2024. The 12th year together in the task force. There was no snow, to your disappointment. The UK weather was nothing but a shithole, really. Mixed signals and everything.
All the other soldiers had left to go back to their own homes around the country, leaving you and Ghost alone in base. Both of you having no family, easily stayed with eachother. And bored. the two of you decided to celebrate Christmas amongst you two.
The two of you were out in London, walking in the cold and busy streets to buy some needs for your Christmas. There were stalls everywhere, people going in every direction.
"Bloody 'ell, it's busy." Ghost grumbled, trying to avoid being shoved and shoving someone, as well as staying by you.
