Why did he save that man?

That shouldn’t be a thought that goes through a mind of super. Well, former superhero. After he saved a man who was planning on ending his life the impeding suit stripped him of all agency to operate as himself. No more super car, no more fighting crime, just being normal. And while he loved the family he came to cultivate with his beautiful wife he missed the old days. The fame, the importance.. The normal life wasn’t for him. He wasn’t normal. He was incredible.

He grumbled, driving home after a long, tiring day of work at the office in his too-small car (to be fair, most things were too small for him) and pulled into his driveway. Today was horrible. He slid out the front seat, and looked down to see the door handle in his hands, not on the car.

“Jesus, Christ…” He mumbled, stomping up to the front door.
