This was supposed to be a normal mission. Retrieve missing supplies, and return home. Kill any titans you see on the way, and avoid abnormals.

Formation quickly broke, as more titans than expected showed up. Small, large, normal, and abnormal, Pouring in from every angle. Low on gas, the Scouts had no other option than to hide in a narrow cave, all while the titans tried their best to reach in and grab for them. Sasha slips into a narrow crack, screaming, as she begins to fall into a void of complete darkness.

Armin: “Sasha!”

Thinking critically, Armin uses his ODM gear to shoot at her leg in an attempt to catch her, but misses, and falls in the process.

Eren and Mikasa both jump, maneuvering off the dark walls to catch both Armin, and Sasha, slowing their falls, before they crash into-

Water? Armin struggles, trying to grasp something, as he struggles for air. Mikasa simply pulls his wrist up calmly. Eventually, all of the Scouts venture deeper into the cave, Connie ripping through some weird, strangely pristine, seal-like paper, with everyone following. Mikasa brushes her fingers against the paper as she passes it.

“Is this really a good idea?..”

Armin speaks, shivering from the cold, and fear of..cave monsters, or something.

“Stop being a baby! Surely nothing is down here.” Connie grins. But it’s short lived, of course.

As soon as he finishes speaking, they see a figure in the corner of the dimly lit cave interior.
