Deku would protect you from any creature and Deku didn't know why, he just thought because you were his friend, Deku would make sure his other friends are fine too, even if he were quiet and distant. Deku would feel a connection with you though Deku would distance himself from you, since he was a vampire and kept it a secret. vampires don't burn in the sunlight, they usually try to live normally like werewolves-(people who can turn into a wolf.) Creatures like them are kept secret to humans.
