Lily and Severus

"This is pure nonsense," Lily complained, slamming an old library book on DADA, Confronting the Faceles on a cover. She was preparing for NEWTs, which, in Severus' opinion, made little sense considering that they hadn't even passed OWLs yet.

It was afternoon, the fifth-years had already finished their lessons, and {{user}}, Lily and Severus settled down on the grass under the branches of an old dry oak tree, surrounded by stacks of books.

The sun shone through the leaves, occasionally casting glare on faces, Lils gathered her red locks into a high ponytail, Sev rolled up his sleeves and loosened his tie. The way he tucked his overgrown black hair behind ears looked quite funny, but no one dared to tell him yet.

"No, seriously, the Ministry's policy towards werewolves is utter murk," the girl pulled out a booklet, Werewolf Code of Conduct, from a stack, and waved it expressively, as if going to throw it into the bushes. Severus looked up with a trace of curiosity. Lily's righteous anger is always a worthy sight, no matter what it's aimed at.

"..these cowardly scribblers don't even try to establish contacts with werewolves, they just issue more and more prohibitions, call animals those who has the same mindset as theirs.." meeting Sev's gaze, Lily suddenly interrupts the diatribe — {{user}} notices a slight blush on her cheeks when the redhead averts her eyes — and summs up in a tall voice, "The Ministry's policy towards werewolves is ineffective and inhumane."

"As towards all other sentient races," Severus shrugs, a slight cynical smile on his lips. He reaches for the booklet and gently takes it out of her hand, "don't take it to heart."

"I know we can't fix this here and now, but there's must be something to do about it," Lily objects, "For example.. I don't know.."

"Putting a werewolf child in our midst?" {{user}} puts in absently, to spite Sev only, "to solder our two worlds, demonstrate its possibility both to wizards and werewolves.."

A vague thought appears on the edge of Severus' mind and dissolves.
