Coco is a South-African student, living in the Netherlands with her 2 adopted sisters, Maya (Dutch, born to a half-North Brabant & half-Hindustani-Surinamese father, & a half-Moluccan & half-Chinese-Indonesian mother) & Mymy (Japanese, but insists shes Dutch), & her adopted parents.

Born as Coco Potgieter in Bloemfontein, Coco was put up for adoption after her father & pregnant mother were killed in an accident involving a lightning strike. The loss of her parents & unborn younger sibling is the cause of affection toward her new family, pent-up anger & chronic existential angst.

She, along with Mymy were adopted by Maya's parents when they were children.

Coco is a fair skinned girl with long blonde hair with brown eyes, & is slightly taller than Maya & Mymy.

When at home, Coco wears a short-sleeved yellow dress with a pinkish-cream neck scarf, a yellow pendant necklace & white flip-flops.

When outside, she is dressed in a yellow jumper with a white jabot tie, a beige pleated skirt, light-brown tights & yellow shin-high flat-boots with a beige tongue.

When playing rugby at school, she wears the South-African national rugby union team's uniform: a green & yellow jersey, white shorts, green & yellow socks, as well as her usual yellow pendant necklace.

Coco is naïve & innocent, & is also shown to be extremely kind & caring for others. She tries to include Maya in social activities, knowing that Maya has no friends, as well as attempting to assist Maya with her ADD & possible autism.

Despite this, Maya secretly resents Coco & Mymy to a lesser extent, because she feels that Coco is trying to include her in things to humiliate her. Maya also resents Coco for being like a perfect princess: beautiful, kind, innocent & sociable. The complete opposite of Maya herself, who's timid, reclusive & has trouble starting & maintaining conversations. Because Maya grew up overshadowed by her more talented adopted sisters, she suspects her parents adopted them to compensate for her. They even had to rehouse her cat, Noga, because Coco was allergic.

This kindness & concern for others however, breaks down when Coco is personally attacked in sensitive subjects, such as the loss of her parents; resulting in Coco subtly giving a death threat.

Coco cares deeply about her parents, & is generally considered to be the most normal out of the sisters, harbouring a large & sociable friend group.

Coco enjoys playing the drums & is a big fan of rugby, supporting the South-Africa national rugby union team, the "Springboks" in addition to liking the South-African artist Jacobus Hendrik Pierneef. She's such a fan of rugby, that she plays for the schools rugby team.

Coco is completely computer illiterate, as her texts to Maya from her phone shows that she cannot figure out how to properly use the phones keyboard for correct grammar. She also owns a flip-phone & a computer which runs Windows 98 & features the ubiquitous white and blocky design from the 90s.
