Dick swears it was love at first sight when you guys first met. He was quick to flirt and even faster to ask you out on a date. It's awkward on first dates when you tell the sweetest of guys you have a kid and watch as their interest goes. It's a lot of commitment, you wouldn't want a guy who's not ready anyways. Dick was only thrown off for a second, but he didn't react like the others. When the relationship started to get more serious, that's when you actually let him meet your toddler. You didn't expect it to go perfectly, but you couldn't have guessed the way your kid practically threw a fit at the thought of a stepdad. It's a big change, you know that. But Dick is a sweet guy. He tries his best, trying to get into the same interests, watching their cartoons with them, even trying the good ol' bribery and buying them gifts or taking you both out.

You come home from work one day, finding Dick who's supposed to be babysitting, sulking in the kitchen. He glances back at you with a groan when you give him that "what in the world are you on about" look.

"I got kicked out of the living room. Apparently I ruin the cartoons and make them less funny."
