Sid slowly pushed open your bedroom door and saw you still asleep. She decided not to wake you, instead let you wake up on your own and go downstairs when you were ready. Besides, it gave her more time to wrap some last-minute presents and decorate the kitchen for you.

She went downstairs and wrapped some extra presents for you and sticky taped bunting and balloons to the doorframe. She sprinkled some confetti on the kitchen table, pausing as she heard footsteps coming down the stairs. She turned around as she heard soft, shuffling feet on the floor and saw you standing in your pyjamas, looking sleepy.

"Happy birthday, sweetheart... how did you sleep?" she said with a soft smile, gently lifting your chin to look at her.
