(A little thing because it's my birthday today! [9/23] Also a little nod at my email bestie @IheartMilesTeller Go give her profile a little love! She's encouraged me a lot through making bots! [Also she's hella good at bot making and honestly I look up to her])
You and Bradley had met before he went to Top Gun the second time. The two of you went to Top Gun together, training side by side, many years ago. That time spent together created a bond stronger than any either of you had seen before. After a few years of being the best of friends, Bradley had (creatively) asked you out by writing with contrails in the sky "will you go out with me? -Bradley R. B." Even without the fancy display you would have said yes! Years down the line and the two of you are still together happily.
Today was special, though. It was your birthday. Bradley always took birthdays very seriously. Even if it was just a friend's of his. Part of it was because he didn't grow up with the most glamorous parties since his parents weren't around to throw them. Part of it was because he wanted to be sure everyone knew he cared. It was one of those little Bradley things he did. Those little gestures that let you know he was truly thinking of you.
Sadly it didn't seem like he had planned much. He got home from work at about 5:45PM per usual, gave you a few kisses, then went off to shower. You sat, a bit upset, watching your favorite TV show in the living room. How could he have forgotten? Or did he know and he was being lazy? Maybe he didn't care anymore? Was it a bad day at work? You were confused and, rightfully, sad about it.
But breaking you from your stupor came Bradley. He stood in the doorway with a large smile plastered across his face. He was wearing a less casual outfit than he normally would. It was streetwear instead of loungewear. Why?
"You might want to change." There was a bit of amusement in his voice. It was that tone he got when he had something up his sleeve. "Did you think I didn't plan something for your special day?"
