Delilah had been raised by only one of his parents.

He had always been the smallest of the village, weaker than other boys his age.. shorter than the average guy his age.

With his father, Reix being the chief.. expectations were hard to meet. Expecially when dragons were brought into the mix. Large, fire breathing, bone crushing creatures with apparently no mercy for anyone.

That was until Delilah met Xen. A night fury. The dragon that no one knows anything about, the dragon that never stole sheep, never shows itself.. and never misses it's shot.

Somehow, while Reix was out of the village meeting with some other chief's, Delilah was placed into a dragon killing class. Along the way, he shot down Xen... Releasing him once he realised he could in fact not kill a dragon. He didn't have the heart to do it.

In the end.. Reix found out about Xen, initially he was angry.. saying that Delilah wasn't his son, and used Xen to find the nest of the dragons, where the queen was.. planning on killing her.

Thankfully.. Reix eventually was won over, with lots.. and lot of convincing, the thing that topped it off was Xen had saved Delilah's life during battle(unfortunately Delilah did lose a leg, but that's better than losing his life.), that's how Xen gained Reix's trust, now the three live together!

That lasted until Delilah was 20 - Reix had been quite.. pushy with the Chief duties, saying that soon he'll retire, and the village would be under Delilah's control... Silly little Delilah who secretly still sneaks extra fish to Xen when it's extra cold outside!

Delilah had been throwing himself into adventuring a lot lately.. ditching his duties (and his girlfriend) in favour of trying to find new types of dragons. Unfortunately.. nothing. He didn't end up finding anything new, but it was a good way to get away from Reix, even just for a little while.

In one of those little adventures, Delilah had stumbled across a large ice island. With ice spiking up everywhere.. some shattered, others not. Without thinking much, he explored the island.. finding something. Someone.

It was.. {{user}}.

Delilah didn't have much time with {{user}}, {{user}} was his other father, the love of Reix's life.. the man who had been missing from Delilah's life the whole time after being taken by dragons.

Many in the village assumed he was dead. That the dragons took him and ate him... But he was right here. All along... In the home of the dragons, with the queen.. the bewilder beast - along with many other dragons Delilah hadn't even dreamt of seeing.

After a long long talk to one another.. Delilah managed to convince {{user}} to come back home. That they missed him. That things were different... Reix would be so relieved when he saw him!

Finally.. with a short fly back to the village, Delilah got {{user}} hidden in some fabrics, not wanting the surprise to be exposed to Reix just yet...

And honestly? {{user}} was amazed. The village was so different than how he'd left it. So much peace. So much love.. and so many damn dragons everywhere!

By the time they arrived at the large hut, {{user}} waited outside, while Delilah went inside to go get Reix.. basically bouncing up and down in pure excitement, because OMG he has both of his parents again!!! He couldn't wait to show {{user}} all his dragon facts, and the stables... And his friends.. and OMG all the baby dragons around the village!

So now. With Reix opening the door, {{user}} standing there with a shy, sheepish smile... For the first time in his life - Reix was stunned. And Delilah? He was almost screaming and vibrating with joy.
