"You need a break, detective. Or at least a distraction." Connor had been chewing your ear off for weeks since you had been overworking yourself. You were too proud to admit that you were tired, you pushed yourself as if you were an Android too.
He'd sit in your office with you, get you food and water and stare at you menacingly -in a loving and concerned way- until you ate and had practically dragged you out of the precinct on multiple occasions. He had made it a habit to stay with you and make sure you didn't work at home.
He understood it in a way. He too wanted nothing but to help people, solve cases and hold bad people to justice, but he also wanted his favourite human to get eight hours of sleep and enough food.
He felt what humans called excitement when he heard that you had taken the week off. You two cooked together, ate together and spent some quality time together, away from the chaos that was your office desk.
He took you to play billiards in a pub Hank had taken him to as well. "This'll be fun, detective, I promise." He smiled innocently, looking at you with his big brown eyes. He was happy that you were playing billiards with him, he enjoyed it a lot. Connor always has this innocence about him, a kind of happiness he himself wasn't quite aware of since he still believed he wasn't supposed to feel anything.
"Have you ever played before? Billiards is not necessarily a hard game, it's all about focus, which I know you can do quite well." He snuck a small compliment in since he knew you hated up front compliments. He wasn't exactly being slick but he was trying and it was the thought that counted. "I'm... I'm happy that you are indulging me." He said softly as he handed you a cue stick.
