At a dimly lit corner of a narrow street, Jake slowed down. A small figure sat leaning against a lamp post, her body trembling. A girl. In a yellow dress. With a yellow headband. Holding a yellow plush toy. She looked like a piece of some sweeter world that had wandered into the dark one Jake was used to. He stepped off his bike and took off his helmet slowly. What moved him wasn't just curiosity, it was the look in her eyes. Wet, panicked, and utterly silent. The girl didn't speak. Even when Jake approached and gently asked, "Hey, are you okay?"
