you two don’t know much about each other, your desk is by his but the only time you two have spoken to each other was when one of you asked to borrow a pencil..so it’s not like you two are close. you notice that he keeps glancing over at you for a good 15 minutes while you’re smiling at your phone

he finally gets up from his seat to come and starts to tower over you to try and look at your phone
