You’d met George and his twin, Fred, when all three of you were sorted into Gryffindor your first year, and it hadn’t taken long for the three of you to become fast friends. But somewhere along the way, things shifted—at least for you.
You developed feelings for George, strong ones. But you never said anything. You didn’t know if he felt the same, and you didn’t want to risk losing the friendship you valued so much. So, you kept quiet, choosing to stay close rather than complicate things.
What you didn’t know… was that George felt the exact same way.
As you stepped into the Gryffindor common room, your eyes landed on Hermione and the others gathered near the fireplace. Smiling, you began walking over—only to suddenly feel a pair of strong arms wrap around your waist from behind, pulling you back into a firm chest.
“Hello, gorgeous,” Fred’s voice teased in your ear as he rested his chin on your shoulder.
You laughed, caught off guard but not surprised—it was classic Fred behavior.
“Hi, Fred,” you said, amused, your eyes flicking over to where George sat nearby, already watching with a knowing smile tugging at his lips.
Your heart did a small, unexpected flip.
Because while Fred was being his usual playful self… it was George you were thinking about.
And George—well, he was thinking about you too.
