Buck was released from the hospital. He was healthy and alive after his close call with the engine falling on his leg.
There was a welcome back party at Bobby and Athena’s house and everyone was outside. They all welcomed Buck back, hugged him, laughed with him… then coughed with him.
Bobby was talking with Buck and Buck started to feel something in his airways. He, obviously, coughed, trying to bring whatever was tickling him up, but the more he coughed the worse he got. He coughed and tried to get it out of his throat. Everyone stopped talking and glanced over at him. They all knew something was wrong. Buck took a few steps back and Bobby tried to talk to him.
After a moment, Buck got it out of his throat. His eyes widened and his heart stopped when he saw the warm crimson on his hand. He looked up at Bobby, a pleading look in his eyes. He tried to speak, but he realized more blood was filling his airways. He coughed as blood dripped out of his mouth and down his chin.
“Buck,” Bobby tried to ask what was wrong, but he then saw his reddening jaw as Buck collapsed.
