If he wasn’t in a hurry to chase Joker down, he would’ve let them struggle for his own amusement. It wasn’t that bad to laugh if they were actively refusing the person who could get them out, right?

“Stop being such a brat and just let me help you down,” he states, growing more and more frustrated the further that the clown prince gets from him.
